Third Coast Events, Inc.'s Team-Building and Promotion Focus

The Third Coast Events, Inc. management team is placing a high emphasis on bringing team members together and developing the group's potential. Dana, the company's Director, indicated that this effort is showing great results.

Third Coast Events, Inc.’s office culture is all about working together to learn and grow as a team. To this end, Dana and her associates have formed a company book club, which meets every week to discuss topics of business and leadership. It has been very successful in terms of both building team relationships and fostering new skills.

“While discussing the five levels of leadership, we have gotten a lot of insight into what our associates are thinking,” she said. “Everyone gets to bond while eating, chatting, and laughing. It has really proven to be an excellent team-building strategy, and I think that turning learning into an enjoyable group activity has been one of the best ideas we have implemented.”

Currently the team is reading The Five Levels of Leadership by John C. Maxwell. According to Dana, the team admires his successes. They have been connecting Maxwell’s story to the idea that working at Third Coast Events, Inc. is not just about having a job – it’s about having a career. Dana added that it has also helped her team to think about what it means to be a leader.

Third Coast Events, Inc.’s Director Announced Promotions

“I am also pleased to announce that we have been pushing our team forward to success with two promotions,” Dana continued. Mikea was promoted to Executive Management because of her excellent work ethic and positive attitude. Perhaps even more importantly though, she always does whatever it takes to get the job done. She is so supportive of those around her – she never hesitates to be the first one there and the last one to leave. She will be great in this role.”

Dana added that she has been particularly impressed by Mikea’s consistency in ensuring the success of events. There is never a concern about her getting things done.

“We have also promoted Jasmine to a mentorship role,” Dana stated. “She will be helping to train in five different markets to help with a campaign. She has done such an outstanding job of teaching her team members, we know she will be great in this role. Jasmine has been rapidly moving up the ladder thanks to her drive and talent.”

According to Dana, these promotions and team-building efforts are so important because they have helped the organization to become more innovative. She asserted that knowing they are a team and having plenty of opportunities encourages her associates to work together and think creatively to solve all the problems that come up when building brands’ market share.

“A cohesive team is essential to success in our industry,” she concluded. “I know that all these efforts will empower Third Coast Events, Inc. to reach new levels of success.”

Remember that people will judge you based on your appearance. Therefore, it is important to make sure you are presenting yourself in a polished, professional manner. A surprisingly small amount of grooming and attention to fashion can go an incredibly long way.

We at Third Coast Events, Inc. have found that having specific goals for interactions will also help to guide conversations and make them feel more productive. Of course, don’t allow your goals to cause you to dominate the conversation. Be clear about what you are looking for but also actively listen.

Making eye contact is an important factor in making people like you from your first meeting. Excessive eye contact can be a little unnerving. We have found that the ideal strategy is to alternate between looking at the eyes, nose, and mouth.

These tips will empower you to make excellent first impressions on everyone you meet. We at Third Coast Events, Inc. have accomplished a lot of networking triumphs using these techniques.
